I am a girl that will show up caffeinated, early and ready to shoot. I thrive in environments that may seem a little chaotic, but y’all this isn’t my first rodeo. I can wrangle the groomsmen like a boss, handle the mother and mother in law gracefully, and be ready with things you didn’t realize you needed or wanted like that ice cold beverage. Did I mention, my colleague and I (Lauren when you book us together) enjoy a shot of whiskey at the end of the day with the Bride & Groom?
So, your wedding is down a dirt road with no service? An hour away from the closest town? Shoot, that sounds great to me! Growing up a rancher’s granddaughter I can take directions like a cattle hauler.

I booked Shelby to shoot both my engagement photos (southern OK) and my small destination wedding (Ruidoso, NM) this year - both trips halfway across the country for her. I am Located in Paso Robles California, as well as Lincoln (long distance relationships. Anything for Love right. 💜). I travel to Texas, Oklahoma & Arizona a few times a year. Don't worry my bags are packed and ready for an adventure.
Where Are You Located?
The amount of images varies on the session or event, plus the number of hours.
How Many Images Are Included?
I do not, unless it is a special request like someone wanting to purchase the Copy Rights to the images. Which will be expensive. I am open to the conversation.
Do You Give Out Unedited Photos?
A retainer is due the day the contract is signed to lock in your date. Then remainder is due 30 days prior to event. Cancellations 72 hours prior to event or session will be charged a fee but not limited to $200.
How Does Payment Work?

Once you have submitted your form, we will either Facetime or have a coffee/wine date to discuss the details of your big day. Once, I have all the answers I need, I will build you a custom proposal, chat again then sign and go from there.
how do i book you?
In case of an emergency like I am dying or deathly ill, I will find a photographer to cover your date. I have some pretty amazing people in my corner.
What if you can’t be at our wedding?
Great question. Every wedding is unique, I like to inquire about the size of the wedding and those must have moments. Those moments will determine if I think its best to spend the extra money or save it. I love to use Lauren Maeve Photography ( I am her go to second shooter), but she is expensive but worth it. Also, with Lauren if I have your date booked already I highly recommend Lauren.💜

What about a second shooter?
I have had a camera in my hand since 2012, I started photographing the ranch I lived on and the people that worked with us. It wasn't until 2018 that I was inspired to take a leap and buy the big boy camera. Then October 2020 (during a pandemic) I quit my job and decided to go full time as a wedding, family and all things story telling photographer.
How long have you been a photographer?
Well they say rain is good luck on your wedding day.
We will work with it. If there is anything I have learned, it's be adaptable and ready to serve. You would have the choice to adjust your wedding day (postpone if the weather will be gnarly) You will then have to coordinate with everyone to reschedule
What happens if the weather is bad?
Yes, when I say Yes, I mean I will touch up if something is obstructing the image, but I will not make anyone look not like their true selves. I take pride in be a natural light and authentic photographer.
Will you photoshop us?
Don't worry, I have a custom guide for you that will answer all your question. I like to encourage couples to be true to themselves.
What do we wear to our photoshoot?

If I am traveling to you in another state, flight and hotel must be booked by you 5-6 months in advance. I will take a cheap flight all day, but a hotel with my gear that I will be traveling with, please don't stick me in a sketchy part of town. A rental car is also included with travel.
If you do not want to organize my travel, I am happy to invoice you after you have approved what I have found. 💜
How does travel expenses work?
I offer discounts once a year. Guess what time of year. Black Friday in December.

My turn around time for a wedding is 4-6 weeks. A traditional session 2-3 weeks.

Short answer: Yes.
I love doing family or senior sessions. I didn't grow up with a close or big family, so anytime I have a chance to capture the beauty of family, it is always a YES!💜
Newborn sessions, if you go on my Insta, you will only see one (it is super cute of a little girl in a boot), unless the couple requests a simple yet traditional style I am happy to do it, but Robin Barnes Photography is who I recommend for the Central Coast.
